The CREATIVE PAINTING Convention
started in 1992,
and is held in late February each year in LAS VEGAS, and now
also in DALLAS late in October each year, beginning in 2012.
We offer over 100 classes for all skill levels.

We offer shopping with booths selling paints, brushes,
pattern packets, videos, and so much more!
Class Skill Levels:

BEGINNER: You have little or no painting experience,
or you are trying a medium which is new to you.
Don't be shy - You'll be with others who are all there to learn.
INTERMEDIATE: You have the basic skills,
brush control, and a good
understanding of fundamentals for the medium being used.
ADVANCED: You have extensive experience
and skills
for a class taught at a brisk pace.
Class Sizes:
REGULAR CLASSES: Our classes are usually
limited to 36 students,
arranged in either 3 rows of 12 or 4 rows of 9 per row...
You'll never be further away than the 3rd or 4th row,
so it should be easy to see what the instructor is presenting.
FEATURED CLASSES: These classes are
often expanded to 48 students,
arranged usually in 4 rows of 12 per row...
A projector and large screen are often used,
making it easier to see what the instructor is presenting.
EVENTS: These are class sessions presented
and sponsored by either
exhibiting vendors or teachers. Seating is usually for about 60
to 72,
and yet these events tend to sell out quickly. Our "Events"
are a
wonderful and fun experience, and allow you to see the newest
products, trends, and designs, at a very reasonable cost.
Lodging:
We highly recommend that you stay with
us at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
We have special group rates in effect for the convention.
All your classes and the exhibits are under one roof!
You'll find it VERY convenient to just use an elevator to get
from
your room to the classes, with no need to go outdoors with those
wet paintings!

Travel:
BY AIR: Dallas is served by DFW airport
for most airlines, except
Southwest Airlines flights arrive at Dallas Love Field.
BY CAR: The Crowne Plaza is at the
Northern end of the Dallas area,
on Midway Road near Belt Line Rd.
Addison, TX has literally hundreds of restauants nearby.
There's plenty of FREE parking available at the hotel.
